Gynnel Jeffrey is a student who has been very dedicated and involved in the school community. In the years that Gynnel has been here she’s been a part of student government for 3 years, an UAG Ambassador for 2 years, and in her senior year she’s still in multiple clubs. These clubs are Cheer, national honor society, and yearbook. When asked how she manages to stay organized and able to manage all the work load Gynnel says “I stay organized and manage my school work by prioritizing different classes based on the rigor of it. Sometimes I may do the easier work first or in between so I can give myself a break.” Though balancing all the school work and extra stress that comes with senior year, Gynnel makes sure to still hang out with her friends.
When questioned about her life after high school Gynnel revealed that she wants to be a software engineer, possibly a scientist, though states that she’ll see where college takes her. Gynnel’s biggest achievement is her match to Boston University with a full ride scholarship. When asked for advice for freshman and incoming students she says “I’d tell freshmen that it’s okay to have fun while they’re in high school, just don’t let that get in the way of your education. Only person getting in your way is yourself.”
