“Home Alone”
Usually a childhood home can give someone nostalgia, but imagine a brilliant producer giving their film a nostalgia of their own; well, I hate to break it to you, but “Home Alone” exemplifies this. This iconic film was released around the 1990s and incorporates a family who forgets their son while leaving to go on Christmas vacation; consequently, he was left behind. Ironically, the day prior he wished he had no family, and clearly his wish came true. While the young boy was left behind at home, he was faced with thieves. These oblivious thieves were ignorant of how cunning, intelligent, and noble this little boy is. The film gradually becomes thrilling and will leave you on the edge of your seat anticipating what’s going to happen next. Some people know “Home Alone 2” for its incredibly well-known scene when president Donald Trump was in it for only a couple of seconds but left a warmth to this movie. Often Christmas is spent with family, love, and gifts, but this brave boy had different Christmas agendas. Will he ever reconnect with his family? Will his house get robbed? Well…you won’t know till you watch it.
“Nightmare before Christmas”
Nothing is better than a unique film, like the “Nightmare before Christmas.” A stop-motion movie directed by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton made around the 1990s. This film has a strange depiction of people, but it’s quite remarkable. The animated characters included Burton’s art that is influenced by German expression. This style of art specializes in big eyes that are slightly spooky, which makes this film so great. The spooky appearance is to amplify how the king of Halloween, Jack Harlow, the main character, comes across Christmas Town with the malicious scheme to take over it. Will he be successful? What ends up happening to Christmas Town?
“How the Grinch stole Christmas”
